Universities harnessing the power of Jackdaw Calico Jack’s academic version of its multi-agent platform, the Jackdaw University Development Environment or JUDE, has been used as a development platform in a new batch of MSc thesis projects at the University of Aberdeen. Students building demonstrators in diverse domains such as haulage logistics and social networking have been able to use JUDE to situate their research in complex, commercially relevant environments that demand the strengths that Calico Jack’s platform has in spades: mobile comms, convergent media, M2M, and scalability.
